Status update, February 2023

Howdy!

This montly status came a bit late, but nevertheless, here it is.

I am working on Husky to add more stuff that allows the app to setup itself some features for different ActivityPub backends. This is a very WIP task that I’m doing carefuly and I would love some testing from users to debug possible issues.

For the 1.5.0 stable version of Husky I would like to rework the push notifications stack, since a ton of users complain about battery draining and I think providing another way of getting push notifications could be benefitial. For now, I removed old code from Husky regarding the views (Kotlin synthetics) and the first beta of this release will contain that and a couple of things more.

I also started to work on moving the Marvel app to Compose (there is nothing pushed yet) and working on a series of posts for the blog regarding how I handled the transition. I would love to do more in Compose, but time is limited.
